Peter Schubert is a Managing Director of Commercial Leasing. He is responsible for retail and creative use leasing, where he works on both landlord and tenant representation assignments in Brooklyn. He has successfully represented Blue Apron, Ample Hills, Juice Generation, AREAWARE and Four & Twenty Blackbirds, among dozens of other recognized and best-in-class tenants in the borough.

During his 20 years in commercial real estate in NYC Peter has worked on hundreds of leasing and sales transactions, as large as 340,000 RSF. Some of those years were spent on investment sales in Brooklyn, and others were in office and retail leasing in Manhattan. For the past 9 years he has led Brooklyn’s TerraCRG Commercial Leasing in team as Managing Director, representing primarily Brooklyn landlords and Brooklyn-based tenants on retail and creative use leasing transactions across the borough.

During his time at TerraCRG Peter has successfully represented dozens of Brooklyn brands like Brooklyn Gin, Blue Apron, Ample Hills, Ovenly, Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Faccia Brutto, and Widow Jane Distillery, with a focus on maker spaces that combine production, administrative and retail uses.

Prior to joining TerraCRG, Peter managed all Commercial Leasing for the Moinian Group’s 13 million-sf commercial portfolio, consisting primarily of Fifth and Madison Avenue properties. Some notable deals include bringing ad agency Y&R from 285 Madison Avenue to it’s new 340,000 SF HQ at 3 Columbus Circle. He also represented Moinian in the NBA Store’s 28,000 square foot retail flagship at 545 Fifth Avenue.

As an adjunct professor at NYU’s Schack Institute, he has taught real estate investment courses, and he was the 2008 recipient of REBNY’s Most Promising Commercial Broker Award. Previously, Peter spent 10 years in finance and investment banking roles, most recently as a vice president at Bear, Stearns & Co.

He has been extremely active supporting Brooklyn not-for-profit organizations and has sat on the following boards over 20 years: Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Historical Society, Borough President Eric Adam’s One Brooklyn Fund, and was the founder and president of the Massey Knakal Charitable Foundation.

Peter holds an MBA from the Wharton School and received his BA from the University of California, Davis. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Combat Medic and Training Sergeant. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Peter is an avid biker and runner and plays water polo.
